Jump Left/Right Commands

PostSat Jun 27, 2020 4:35 pm

What do these do? I can't find a reference to them anywhere, and they are both grayed out in my menu.

"Playback > Jump Right"
"Playback > Jump Left"

I was looking for a way top <page up> and <page down> the timeline. Haven't found a way to do that yet that doesn't use the mouse.

They're the traditional clip navigation commands available on the Fairlight timeline

Thank you. But I can't tell the difference between "Jump Right" and "Playback > Next > Marker" (Shift-Up) Is there some nuance to "Jump Right" that I am not understanding?

"Playback > Jump Right"
"Playback > Jump Left"

Came here to ask the same question.

They're enabled in fairlight, but there's no info on how they work, and they don't appear to do anything at first glance. Maybe moving them to the fairlight menu would provide more context? Or re-name them? At least put them in the manual, but search results for "jump left" on a 2000 page .PDF won't be super useful either, especially with the Mac default .PDF reader.

I messed around with them a bit, and here's what I found out in case anyone else is curious:

On the Fairlight page, with an audio track selected, they work like next/previous edit on the edit page (with the exception that they'll go to the end of a clip). Since the keyboard shortcuts for "move audio destination up/down" use the same modifier keys, you can hold the modifiers and walk the selection in any direction.
