Just purchased Television Studio HD.

Having difficulty download control software.

What I saw on BM site were software updates. Tried that and oddly would not download

Am I in the wrong place?

Appreciate any assistance fro someone who knows more than I do... which btw qualifies about everybody!

You download the update files. It will be a complete installation. The zip archive will also contain manuals (which also get installed). Unzip the downloaded file first before doing the installs. Click on the executable in the folder that results from unzipping the downloaded file.

BMD list them as updates but they're full software releases with support added for new hardware additions or were they've reworked their software/ firmware.

You might need to uninstall what you have already installed to make it run but thats what you need to control your Atem.
