Blackmagic cameras are using a super capacitor for powering the internal clock. The advantage of super capacitors is that they can be charged very quickly and usually they outlast any battery (because they are not batteries). The disadvantage is that they cannot hold the charge for longer periods - like months.
Even if you keep a battery inside the camera, it will not constantly charge the super capacitor by design - only if the camera has been switched on.
After several days without usage, the camera's internal clock will start to slightly drift until the charge of the SC has been exhausted. Then date and time will be reset to default. I haven't tested the exact time frame but it might be four weeks or more until this happens.
So if your camera does reset to default after a very short period ( a day or even less) you should contact support.
Saying "Thx for help!" is not a crime.
