Old used Decklink Cards: Bad Idea?

I have a search request out on used Decklink cards on eBay and some of the prices for the older models are really tempting.

For example the DeckLink HD Extreme 3 offers two SDI ins and out and HDMI in and out and they pop up for very cheap from time to time. Of course i understand that Backmagic can not ensure support for 10 year old EOL cards. How bad of an idea would it be to buy one anyway in 2020?

Do they still work with current software on Windows 10?
Hows the driver situation?
Where can i find drivers, documentation and specs on EOL products?

I use an older Decklink Studio 2 card and it works fine with the latest drivers on Mac. I would assume Windows & Linux are similar.

I have actually recently placed my old HD extreme 3 from an old mac cheese grater into my old z820 running windows10. Seems to be working fine.

I only use the box for edit assist tasks, but i did just do a bunch of Beta sp captures to it using Avid, and all seemed good. I also did some vhs transfers to it, again, no issues.

For drivers, I'm pretty sure I just installed the current desktop video.
