Record interview audio in driving car

Hey

how would you go about recording voice in a driving car with as little noise as possible.I'm thinking about a dynamic headset mic with cardioid pattern like https://www.thomann.de/gb/shure_wh20xlr ... ImVuIn0%3D
(It's ugly but video doesn't matter).

Any other ideas?

I think that could work to a point, but be aware that cardioid lavs (which is essentially what a headset mic is) will tend to pick up breath pops and mechanical noise (rustling, etc.) a little more than a normal mic. Make sure the interview subjects are not popping their P's.

I would do a test and see if iZotope RX could remove or at least suppress some of the background car noise. For a lot of reasons, cars are not ideal for sound recording. If you were in a top-end Mercedes or Lexus, those can be surprisingly quiet provided the windows are up and the AC is set to low.
