Switching off the Smartview Duo or Smartview HD

Anyone know if theres a neat way to switch off the smartview duo or HD or if there are plans to incorporate this?

There is no way of switching off the monitors. Version 1.2 of the software which is available as a free download from our website has a new feature where the display's backlight is turned off when no input video is detected. This saves power and increased display life.

So theres nothing wrong with me cutting the PSU cable and putting a switch in line?
