Not sure where to post this, shoulder rig help.

I'm not entirely sure this is the right place to post this, but I don't know where or who I would ask about it.

I have the Owl Dolly Shoulder Rig II which specifically says it's a 15mm diameter rail.
So I just bought the Ikan BMC Over/Under Battery Rail which also says it fits onto 15mm rails.

However, it doesn't fit! The actual circumference of both the holes on the kit and the rails look the same, but it's too tight and doesn't slide onto it. Am I missing something? Who do I talk to about it? I've tried emailing Owl Dolly in the past but it seems to be just one guy doing it and he doesn't respond 90% of the time. I'm assuming the fault would lie on the information on the rig, correct? Unless other people have a similar issue and they had a fix for it like greasing it or something?

Any help much appreciated.

I've had this problem too with Ikan's battery mount, trying a few different rails that I have. The unfortunate workaround for me is that you have to mount the rails one at a time into the ikan mount, then rig it into the rest of your setup.

I think the tolerances are really tight on Ikan's mount, which leads to trouble in the field. I don't know if you can bore them a little more or what, or how to do that, so I hope as much as you do that other folks might have some insight.

Thanks for that! I had never heard of anyone talking about it before which is why I thought it'd be a safe buy. Unfortunately all of this gear buying mostly falls under buy then try and hope it works. I wish I had a better camera gear shop near me that carried gear to try out. I tried putting it on one at a time but it felt too tight and I was afraid to continue. I'll give it another go tonight.
