DNG sequences in UHD from my drone are importing fine in 17.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

I'm also not having any problems with the cDNG media from the original Pocket.

Studio 17b1 for Windows.

What is the source of your media, Nicola?

Hi there,
I'm having the same problem. DNG Files from a Kinefinity Mavo LF. They worked fine in Resolve 16.2.8, but in 17.1.1, as soon as I try to import a DNG sequence, Resolve just closes. No error msg.
Tried reinstalling Resolve 17, updated my graphic card drivers, nothing worked so far.
Uninstalled Res17 and reinstalled Res16.2.8, everything there still works fine.
Does anybody have a solution? Would be nice to have the new features of 17 :D
Thanks!

Can you share a short clip for testing, Hannes?

Yes, let us have a look at them to see if it's your hardware or DR 17.

I have the same problem in Davinci 17, certain clips in DNG crash the program...
for now I have not found any solution, I am still using Davinci 16, the clips work in that version.

I share a file from a DNG that gives me that problem, the program closes when importing the file:

Sorry, I have already put the download link in public: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1svtC0m ... gyVid/view

(This download is just a frame of a Dng clip with this error, you can do the test it works perfectly in Davinci 16 but Davinci 17 crashes)

I have tested on two different computers with Davinci Resolve Studio 17,
on both the program closes when importing the Dng file.

Studio 17.1.1 for Windows keeps crashing on me with Sergio's DNG file, and that's before I even touch it! Simply navigating to the folder in Media Storage causes a hard crash and Resolve ends up stuck in memory, needing to be killed with Task Manager.

Happened twice. Didn't want to test a third time.

I know Uli run's a mac. Might be a bug in the Windows version.

Since Jim knows what he's doing, I second that.

I also suspect that it may be a bug only in the Windows version.
I have reported this problem to Blackmagic support, I will let you know if there are any news.

Checking the characteristics of the clips with this error,
It seems that I have found the reason for the problem, all the files that I record in 1920x1080 CDNG give this error, none of them works.

(Now I have done the test and recorded in 4k and 1080p, all 1080p files don't work in Davinci 17)

In my case, the CDNG files are from the Blackmagic Pocket 4k (Version 6.1)

I can confirm this is an ongoing issue in DR 18b2
