Fusion Studio 17 with HP Notebook shows green screen after l

PostWed Nov 18, 2020 6:23 pm

Hi.

After starting Fusion Studio 17, the UI has intense green horizontal stripes across the entire screen. I have to guess the menu bar, but I can open and operate all menu items. Only the green screen doesn't change anything.

Does anyone know this?

HP Notebook 470 G7 - i7-10510U - 32GB RAM - 1 TB SSD + 1 TB HDD, AMD Radeon 530.

That's a new one to me, but have you tried updating your graphics driver?

No not yet.
The NB is a new one and serves me as a makeshift workstation. But I'll do the update tomorrow. Thanks for the tip.

Hi.
I was able to open this message between all the green stripes:
Warning: No usable GPU devices found.
It is strongly recommended that you import FBX files into Fusion via the File->Import->Scene menu. If you are manually adding a FBX tool to the flow you are doing it wrong - this will group all the meshes in the FBX together and information about their individual materials and animations will be lost.

Does it mean something to you?

Yep. I saw the same thing when I first installed. Updating the driver made that message go away and enabled me to use the GPU-accelerated features. But I didn't have any UI problems.

The bit about FBX is just a random usage tip. One of those will appear in the Console every time you start Fusion. You can get another one using the command 'tip'.

Hi.

Completed successfully - but it took a while.
First of all, all attempts and driver updates for the AMD part were unsuccessful. Dedicated graca activated or deactivated, everything was for the garbage can .

Then I focused on the Intel UHD Graphics 630. I switched off the AMD card and gave the integrated 630 a current driver. Driver version 27.20.100.9021 was the key to success.

Thanks for the food for thought, then trying was my job. Now Fusion can also be enjoyed on my NB with a magnificent UI :geek: .
