What's the best way to extend a title's animation length?

PostWed Nov 18, 2020 9:22 pm

Say I have a title animation. The beginning of the animation is 2 seconds. Then comes 5 seconds of the title not moving at all. Then 2 seonds of the end of the animation.

How do I extend those 5 seconds in which the title doesn't move at all to 1 hour?

Is this in Fusion or in the Fusion page of Resolve?

If you really want to make it as long as you say, you're probably better off by rendering a still frame of the still part of the title, because otherwise Resolve will have to render the whole hour instead of just overlaying a still. And then just use the first 2 seconds of your animation at the beginning and the final 2 seconds at the end.

Or you could use the keyframe stretcher tool, which is easy once you know how, but it does require a little basic Fusion knowledge. Are you up for that?

Also: check out this thread which is related to your question:

Yes, I am totally up for that. I'm willing to learn anything.

I know that there's the way of creating a still frame. But to me, that's kind of a workaround, and I'd like to learn how to do it within Fusion.

Could you tell me, please?

It's almost midnight here, so check out the other thread I linked to first. If that doesn't get you started, I'll help you out first thing tomorrow.
