I am getting the exact same problem/error. I have attached a screenshot of the error. I believe I am getting this error because the drive I selected as my storage location is separate from the operating system drive, but I could be wrong. Any help is greatly appreciated. I cannot open the software past this point right now. No matter what I do to select a different drive nothing works. I have even uninstalled Davinci and reinstalled it with no luck. I even tried to download 16 instead of 17beta but that didn't work either.

Same issue but with "Metal capable GPU"

DaVinci Resolve could not find Metal capable GPUs.
Please review the GPU drivers and GPU configuration under preferences.

Was upgrading from 15 to 17 on a MacOS 10.14.6

THANKS for any help with this,
Freddie

Brian, that has nothing to do with your storage. It is telling you that your GPU (graphics card) be it a discrete card like mine, or built in graphics, is either not capable of running Resolve or needs a driver up date.
Post a detailed description of your system so we can take a look and hopefully help..
Resolve Studio 19.0b build 20
Dell XPS 8700 i7-4790, 24GB RAM, 2 x Evo 860 SSDs, GTX1060/6GB (551.86 Studio Driver), Win10 Home (22H2), Speed Editor, Faderport mk1, Eizo ColorEdge CS230 + BenQ GW2270 + Samsung SA200, Canon C100mk2, Zoom H2n.

Steve, in your list there is no mention of the GPU. Also 8GB ram is low as the recommended minimum is 16GB. As Win 10 will use nearly 4GB of that for itself, and if you have on board graphics that uses shared memory, Resolve doesn't stand a chance.
These are the minimum specs for Resolve 17, those for 16 being similar.

Freddie, have a look here too.
