Just received my brand new Resolve Studio activation code and just discovered that it works also with Fusion Studio!
I got rid of two dongles in one move, and it's not even my birthday!

you mean...if I download Fusion Studio I can activate it whit the code of DVRS?

Yes, I ordered a DRS 17 activation key and on the box it writes "Includes Fusion Studio".
I tried and it works! Only Fusion 17 by the way. Older versions want the dongle.

I don't know if it's backward compatible with DRS 16 keys. Someone should try this, I cannot.

I have downloaded Fusion Studio17b8,but I can’t try the serial I have (bought 3/4 years ago) because the app crash on splash screen...

No the app crash during the loading whit the splash screen...

Fusion 17 beta 6-ish added support for Davinci resolve Studio 17 codes.
It's not a backward compatible change.

I try Fusion Studio and it works with the DaVinci 16 Dongle.

I can confirm it works on Win 10 using DR Activation Key. Just downloaded it and, upon install, it used my DR activiation key automatically to activate Fusion Studio. I see from a video that this has been the case with dongles, but is apparently newly implemented in v17 for activation keys. Not sure why they don't advertise this. I'm not sure I actually need Fusion Studio given how much has been integrated into Resolve, but this excellent video gives some good reasons to be happy it's included.

This video on VFX Connect is also very cool.

IMHO, the standalone is still more stable. Maybe because DR and Fusion don't have to share resources.
VFX Connect works better than dynamic linking by Adobe.

Works flawlessly. I installed Resolve Studio 17.1.1 and then Fusion Studio 17.1.1 - the latter activated automagically with my Resolve activation key. Finally. Thanks BMD!

Yup, installed it too -- crashes after splash screen... Don't know if it's because it's not excepting Resolve key or the app itself has issues... Will try again after next Fusion update.
