Mini-Pro HDMI out to Monitor considerations

PostTue Feb 23, 2021 9:12 pm

Is there a certain HDMI spec that I need to match to the monitor attached to the Mini-Pro? I've read a few reviews where it seems some folks have problems with different monitors showing "black" or blinking when selecting different inputs. I'm just looking at smaller "computer" monitors for this task.
Thanks

it needs to be a recent monitor. If it is older than 10 years it might not display the image.

I would expect any monitor that can handle 1080p should work. (As above, some older ones can only handle 1080i.)
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

A lot of less expensive monitors only have a refresh rate of 60 Hz. So your ATEM output may be constrained to 1080p60. This may have a knock on effect on streaming bandwidth requirements.
