[SOLVED] - Rotated or flipped footage and patch tool

NOT A BUG, JUST A FEATURE: See Check box "Retain Image Position"This is still not fixed in 17.1 and has been an issue since I think 16, at least 16 when I cam across it.

If you rotate footage say 90° cause you shooting for 9X16 project, and use the say the Patch tool, or simply cropping, Resolve Studio doesn't relate Left, Right, Top, Bottom with the viewer, but with the clip itself.
In other words, if I rotate my clip -90°, and crop Left, then the cropping happens from the top of the viewer.

This same incorrect link is reflected if you want to use the Patch tool in the Color tab.

Please, it isn't a super important issue, but highly annoying...so much so that whatever I wanted to do with the crop or the patch tool is rather just left for an "absolutely necessary" situation.

This all in the Edit page. I can't, to my knowledge change what "Left" means in the Edit page within the inspector Toolset. To my knowledge I also can't crop first then rotate, apart from that being counter-intuitive. This is all simply within the Edit page.

In this specific case I don't have to crop, however it seems intuitive to crop from the left of the viewer and not the left of the clip edge.

SWEET! Not a bug anymore, but a feature. I notice there is a little Check box stating "Retaining Image Position"
