Are there any cages available for BMPCC 6K Pro yet?

Yeah, I had the same question in mind a few days ago and looking around at the usual suspect's websites did not reveal anything. I think the 6k Pro took all of them in surprise.

Been wondering exactly the same thing.

I've really been happy with the half cage from Tilta for the 4K/6K Pocket. I hope Tilta releases a similar one soon for the 6K Pro.

Jamie I agree, I think a half cage will be perfect for this. Mostly to have a top handle and not to obstruct the really quite ergonomic side handle. Although to be fair one of the main advantages of cages was having more than one mounting point on the bottom and they've already solved that issue. Will be interesting to see how they work around the cut out of the EVF.

I would think that all of the main companies that make cages will have 6K Pro cages available in the next couple of weeks.

I normally use a half cage with my Pocket 4K, but I'm setting up an Easyrig Minimax and decided that I want to use a full cage with it. Last Sunday, I had a look at the Tilta and 8Sinn. I would have looked at SmallRig's cage as well, but the socket placement wasn't as good as the others for the Minimax.

I think that there's a lot of personal taste involved in selection. I didn't like the fact that the Tilta comes in pieces that have to be screwed together, which I think compromises strength; and it results in more fasteners to monitor. Went with the one piece 8Sinn cage instead. To my mind, it feels more solid and also looks better. The fact that it's made by a small company in a small town by people who seem to care about design mattered too.

Robert, thanks for the heads-up, will definitely order one!

Love the little design improvements, it split's from a full cage into a half cage and has several attachments points for a single rod for compact rigging. The T5 slot is pretty smart as well, even though I only use CFast.

Two complaints though - why would they go back to the old-style cable clamp? The previous right angle adapter they designed for the 4K/6K was so much better (Smallrig 2700). Also the new sun hood would have been great if it was able to fold flat while installed and provide additional protection to the screen during transport. But without that capability and considering the much brighter screen, I don't think it's very useful.

Also no pictures with an EVF installed - but hopefully they checked that, right?

Just got an update from Smallrig that there shipment is delayed due to the overwhelming demand but not precise estimate on when this will go out. Really looking forward to it though.

As we know we are still waiting for Tilta, but has anybody have any experience with the following cages?
Maybe there is an alternative?

Yes I am aware of this, well except for the Fathom "one cage fits all cameras" it was more regarding the qaultix of the cages since they are also working on the BMPCC 6K Pro cages.

Hello
Have you received your Smallrig 6KPRO cage?
Noted as sent, it should be delivered today (I'm in France) but after several messages to Fedex the package was blocked by Chinese customs and returned to Smallrig! (while on tracked page there is noted delivered ...)
No response from Smallrig ....
I’m the only one ?

This same thing just happened to me. It was returned to SmallRig and I have not heard anything from the company. I received the "delivered" notice also, and that means it was delivered (returned) to SmallRig. It never made it out of China.

Still going wait for the cage from 8Sinn before I decide which one go with.

But bummer that the Smallrigs have been denied.
