Decklink for 4k DCI HDMI out

PostSun Mar 14, 2021 9:33 am

I'm trying to understand which video output solution do I get to have 4k DCI via HDMI to fuel the Eizo CG319x?

Here are confirmed (although not all) devices:
https://www.eizoglobal.com/support/comp ... index.html

Not many BM cards do it. You also have to be very careful with DCI resolution over HDMI. Quite often only 23.98/24/25 modes work.
Also BM's HDMI outputs are prone to incompatibility problems.

Most compatible way using BM may be going dual box with SDI to DisplayPort 8K HDR or Teranex Mini SDI to HDMI 12G:

but then you still need some SDI BM card with DCI SDI output as Teranex is just a converter.

Other way is BM SDI card+ AJA Hi5 12G converter - you would have to find out if it's definitely supported by Eizo. It should as those boxes are very nice and reliable. Older model is supported:

and has best compatibility on all modes (YUV/RGB).

I am using the same Eizo CG319X monitor connected by HDMI from a Decklink 4K Extreme 12G.
With DCI resolution video it's fine and fits the whole width of the 31.5" screen.
Resolve Studio 18.6.4 Win10Pro 22H2 19045.3803, Gigabyte GA-X99, i7-5960X, 32GB DDR4 RAM, RTX 2080 Ti (537.58 driver), Decklink 4K Extreme 12G, Eizo CG319X DCI 4K HDR monitor
