Projects lost/ Incompatible database

The program asked to upgrade to version 17 last week. When I upgraded it my computer could not run it, so I uninstalled it (lost everything) and re-installed version 16. I worked all week, and now it says the database is incompatible (not upgradeable) database <17.0.0.001>, application requires <16.0.0.001>
I haven't tried to upgrade, and it worked fine a couple of hours ago.
Now I can only make a new database, but all the projects from this week (made in version 16) is gone? Or how can I find it?
Please help, I don't know what to do

When you installed 17, did you update the database?

Follow the location path seen in the screen shot above (Users>Sofie....etc.) to find the actual [unreadable] database folder. Open it, and keep going until you get to "Projects". Open that folder and see if your projects are inside. There should be one appropriately named folder per project, with a "project.db" file inside each.

If the project folders are there, you may be able to copy and paste them into a new database.

Yes! Thank you. Some are there. But how do I copy them?

The thing is, that that is the projects I had before all this started. But the last weeks projects is not there.. Can they be hidden somewhere? Or not saved properly? Just in case I have to start over, how do I make sure this doesn't happen again?

Also I have started from scratch again but each time i Generate for optimized media it won't save afterwards.
It seems like there is a lot of problems with the program now.
