Hello,
there was a discussion about the power of the ‘old’ Video Assist, see
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=44856&hilit=Video+assist+Power

As the documention still mentions 12v 36watt, I suppose the Video Assist 12G can only handle between 6-15v, so, it depends how stable your DTAP output is, see some remarks in the above mentioned topic.

Regards,
Hans

That old Topic doesn't really help. I'm still not sure if I can Plug the Video Assist with 14,8V. I'm not sure if it handles 6-15V... there ist "JUST" 12V Input. The BM Cameras have in 6-15V Inputs, but not Assist. Maybe anybody has an Experience with it.

The 12VDC input can handle 14.5VDC, which is what mny 12VDC battery are when fully charged. Even the old VA could use 14.5VDC, been there and did it.

Great Denny, thank you,
so I`ll be not Afraid to try the 14,8V D-Tap Voltage.

Are you just using a standard Dtap to DC cable? I have one from Alvin's Cables that I'd like to try.
