Artist Color softkeys mapping issues

Hi,

I have been going crazy trying to map the Artist Color softkeys. I am using the Artist Color surface in Davinci Resolve. The default soft keys work fine but they are not what I want. When I customize them with Euphonix, the corresponding key on the keyboard lights up. I save the soft key. Everything seems like it is working, but when I push the soft key that I have programmed... nothing! I have had the same problem with an older 3.x.x Euphonix and the most recent one 19.12.1.23. Same exact issue. I have searched this and Blackmagic forums, and haven't come up with anything that works. Everything else with the panel works fine. I am familiar with the procedure to map the softkeys, they're just not taking. Others seem to have it working. What the heck is going on??

I'm using mac Mojave and Euphonix 19.12.1.23, Resolve 16 and 17. Also same problem with earlier older Euphonix vers 3.6

OK. Finally solved my own problem. I suspected some kind of mac permission issue and that's what it was. Even though in the mac system preferences I had allowed EU Controller to control my computer, I did not have MC_client permission set to control my computer because I didn't know what it was. After allowing MC_client to control computer... Voila! It worked. Hope that might help someone else. Whew!
