BRAW Player White Screen/ Not Responding

Hi all,

It's been a love/ hate relationship with the BRAW player - from the thumbnails vanishing to this. I am currently on 1.6.1 as that still has thumbnails. However after pressing on the video there is nothing but a white screen, and then it crashes.

Have tried uninstalling reinstalling my NVIDIA display drivers/ rolling them back, as well as the BRAW player version. Still no good.

This is a massive problem for me!

Specs

RTX 2080Ti, Ryzen 9 3900x.

Any help would be amazing.

Have you tried updating to version 2.0 or 2.1 beta?

What OS version and NVIDIA drivers version are you using?
Can you open the Blackmagic RAW player, go to the about menu and hold down shift, then take a screenshot and post it here?

I'm on the latest version of NVIDIA Drivers, 465.89 Game Ready, Also tried the studio version to no success. Also rolled back to no success. I'm on windows 10 pro Version 10.0.19042 .

Sadly, there is just a white box that comes up as the BRAW player so can't do anything. I'll attach screenshots to show you what I mean.

Do you get this even without trying to load a clip and just opening the player by itself?

Yes! It happens either way sadly.

Strange, we have not seen this issue before. Can you send a copy of the crash log to me, and also a windows system information file so we can see if we can reproduce this? You can PM it to me if you don't want to share publicly.

For the system info file do:
Windows key+R to open the Run box. Type msinfo32
Go to File -> Save, specify a file name and set the field Save as type to System Information File (*.NFO)

That's strange! Hopefully it can be fixed as I think you understand it slows down my workload a lot.

Small update, I managed to open two videos unexpectedly; and now sometimes videos open and sometime don't. When they do open it hangs on a white screen for 1/3 of a second, then loads the video itself. Not sure if this information has any use to you; but I'd thought I let you know.

Stopped working once again.

Hi, we think your issue is related to an old bug in Blackmagic RAW 1.6
Can you try run the uninstaller to remove Blackmagic RAW, restart the computer and then try install 2.1 beta 4?
