Scopes keep turning on every time I visit the Color Page

PostSun Apr 11, 2021 12:58 pm

Normally I have the scopes on the Color Page disabled as I use external scopes. Lately, however, they've been re-enabled every time I visit the color page. I've tried deleting and creating new Layout Presets, but they still re-load every time I visit the color page even if they were disabled upon the previous visit.

Does anyone have suggestions or has anyone else seen similar behavior?

Using DR 17.1.1 Build 9 on Mac OS 10.14.6

I can't find any way to disable them in 17.1.1.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Jim - if you click the "Scopes" button on the upper right of the interface (I'm using dual screens), it turns the scopes on/off. If you turn yours off, do they re-appear after you exit the color page and re-enter?

Ahh, dual screen. I prefer a single monitor, which offers no such option.

Well, if you activate info or keyframes instead, that sticks.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

Yup. Those both behave as expected.

I really hate that as well. HUGE pain in the ass. There's a long list of things that I wish once you turned them off they would stay turned off. "Live Preview" is one, "Wheels" in the color pallet is another, and "Scopes" are another. I like a way to turn them off permanently, rip them out of the program, and stomp on them repeatedly until they cooperate. I'm guessing I lose about half an hour a day avoiding all three.

I'm with you! It's a no-brainer from a usability standpoint.
