Render Sizing Error

I edited and graded a film in HD, not 4K to accommodate the capacity of my FSI grading monitor.
I then changed the timeline back to 4096x2160, left Output Blanking at 2.39:1 and output the file.
Please see images below. I included just the bottom left to highlight the difference between them.
What am I doing incorrectly in the render process?

Change the timeline to DCI Scope (4096 x 1716) and remove Output Blanking.

Please see attached. I had my film in DCI 4096x2096 w/ output blanking set to 2.39:1 in Timeline Settings. I am now in render phase.
I changed the Project Settings to match the above.
I then turned off Output blanking.
I now seem to have lopped off the two sides.

I apologize for the mistype. This is correct:
Switched from DCI 4096x2160 w output blanking to DCI 4096x1716 and blanking turned off resulting in boxed sizing.

Fixed. Set Timeline and Project Settings to 'Center Crop...'
