How do you show the Media Pool sidebar?

PostFri May 07, 2021 1:40 am

Hi all,

Please let me know how to show the Media Pool sidebar. Nothing happens when I click the sidebar icon underneath the Media Pool icon at the upper left of the window. It just shows the bins in a pop-up window.

I am using Resolve 17. It originally did not show up, so I uninstalled 17 and tried 16, but 16 had the same problem.

How do I show the sidebar with the folder structure showing the bins? Is there some setting that I am missing?

Thank you,
Matt

Moved to Resovle Forum

the sidebar is not shown in the Cut page but is shown as a dropdown.

Ah. That helped me figure out the video tutorial I was watching is using the Edit page.

Thanks for answering such a noob question!

It doesn't show a side bar in the Cut page, just the list of Bins which, when clicked on, will show their contents. That is the way it is designed to work.
It does function in the Media, Edit, Color, and Fairlight pages. In the Media page the top one shows storage locations and the bottom one folders.
