Fusion 17 Environment variables

Hi,

With Fusion Studio and RenderNode 16 I use environment variables to set a global network shared master pref, fuses, plugins and such all in one place for everyone on the network :

FUSION16_MasterPrefs
FUSION16_PROFILE_DIR

It seems that Fusion Studio 17 use same variables instead of :

FUSION17_MasterPrefs
FUSION17_PROFILE_DIR

Could we have a confirmation about this ?

Hmm, in new fusion17_manual it says to use

FUSION_PROFILE_DIR
FUSION_MasterPrefs

Will have to try that ...

No one use environment variables

I don't use these specific variables and also not F17 at the moment. This is a topic that Blackmagic should definitely look at. Have you contacted support about this? There's definitely something off if the variables in the handbook are wrong.

I think I recall someone saying somewhere that it looked like the variables hadn't been updated, so the ones for Fusion 16 still affect 17. But I can't find that conversation now, so I might be misremembering.

In the last build of Fusion 17 I tried, I had to use FUSION16_MasterPrefs
and FUSION16_PROFILE_DIR to get them to work.

You would think I would have remembered that it was my boss who said it.
