Turn off Window softness

PostThu Jun 03, 2021 6:01 pm

Hi there,
how can I turn off the window softness (inside and / or outside)?
Always when I grab a point of the window to animate it - I accidantly grap a softness point. But inside and outside softness is set to 0. This is happening when I once tried out inside or outside softness but decidet not to use it.

Thx,
Tobias

Two suggestions:

1) you can blow up the Viewer window and make it pretty large, and once you zoom in, you should see the dividing line between the actual window edge and the outside or inside softness line. One key is you should go into User Prefs -> Color and select "Use High-Visibility Power Window Outlines." This makes the window edge green and the outer & inner softness edges yellow. If it were up to me, this would be on by default.

2) as an old legacy feature, the standard circular Power Window does not have separate Outside and Inside adjustable softness. But you can do this if you choose "Convert to Bezier." For a lot of reasons, a Bezier curve window is more useful in a lot of situations.
