bouncing cilp to files erases effects ?

PostMon Jun 14, 2021 9:01 am

Hi, I'm editing multiple individual audio tracks in fairlight 17.2.1 and as i can't batch export them, i'm bouncing them individually to a file, but the end result didn't keep the applied effects ! So what must i do to export the tracks keeping those effects ?

Are the plugins applied as Clip or Track-based effects?

Additional Bounce options:
Timeline menu > Bounce Selected Track to New Layer
Timeline menu > Bounce Mix to Track

Clip-based effects are applied with the Bounce Clip to Files function, whereas Track-based effects are not.

Well, what i did was to cmd-drag all my audio tracks from the media bin to the fairlight page, which is giving me a dialog with the option to place each source media file on a separate Timeline Track, which i did. Then i applied the desired effects on a selected track, then copy pasting the effects to the other tracks, so i don't know to which scenario this workflow belongs... I just need to export them as individual tracks with the effects.

Have you considered the Bounce options mentioned?
Timeline menu > Bounce Selected Track to New Layer
Timeline menu > Bounce Mix to Track

For Clip-based effects:
Clip contextual menu > Bounce Audio Effects

All audio files are located in the target directory as specified in:
Project Preferences > Capture and Playback > Capture > Save clips to

working on it... But sometimes one needs a quick answer rather than having to skim through a whole bunch of material before one gets the answer one was looking for...
