Effects getting removed when switching timelines

First time I’ve had this pop up (using 17.2 Studio), it’s a pretty large project with a bunch of different timelines. I’ll drop a few audio effects on a clip, switch over to a different timeline and back and then the effects are gone. This isn’t happening to all timelines in the project, only new ones. I’ve tried relaunching software, restarting computer, cleared render cache, nothing seems to stop this from happening

Any improvement saving the Project prior to switching Timelines?

Nope, I even deleted these timelines and remade them and it’s still happening.

Is this behaviour present on the Edit page or Fairlight?

Edit page only as far as I know, I don’t use fairlight so I haven’t checked. Late 2014 5K iMac, 4Ghz quad-core i7, 32 GB DDR3, AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4 GB

Which effects?

It seems like any VST plug-in, the built in Resolve ones seem fine.
