Compound Clip - Open in Timeline - Color - Crash

PostTue Apr 27, 2021 7:11 am

Hi,

I'm running Resolve 17.1.1 on MacOS 10.14.6
Resolve crashes when you have a compound clip, and you do open in timeline, and then you go to the color tab.

Any Thoughts?

Hi Mattias

Can you go to the Help menu, grab diagnostic logs on the next startup and add a link here please?

Do also take a look at the FAQs and detail your hardware and OS information. Can I check if you're on the free version or studio?

Thanks

Mattias

Can I check if this is specific to that compound clip?

Would it be possible to add a link to the DRP (project export) and indicate the compound clip with which this issue happens? You can make a copy of the project and remove the other clips before exporting - this allows you to keep your work in the original project while passing on just the essential info.

Please also let us know any aspect of your workflow you think is relevant - e.g if the project/timeline was created from an XML, or upgraded from a specific (older) version of Resolve etc.

Thanks

Shrinivas,

I have this issue with ALL the compound clips, not specific to this project.
Even if i create a new project from scratch. I tried going back to 17.0 but the issue is also present here.

I tried to open it in our other Resolve suite, running MacOS 11 and I don't have the problem there.

I'm going to try to update MacOS, and maybe do a clean install for davinci.

Hi,

I just did a clean install from macOS Big Sur (formatted the disk) and a clean install from resolve 17.1.1.
But the issue is still here. You can find the Logs attached

Hi,

I think I found the cause of the issue.
It has something to do with the Davinci Advanced Panel 2 setting (I have the new keycaps installed.

If I disable the panel, set it to None the compound clips open without issue.

Any Thoughts?
Best Regards,

Hi,

The issue is still present on Resolve 17.2.2
Imac Pro 2017 - macOS Big Sur 11.4

If I disable the Panel it works as intended.

Any Thoughts?
