In DRS 17.0.0, and earlier versions from the looks of the DRS user forum, waveforms occasionally disappear for no logical reason.
The standard response has been to enable waveforms on the Timeline View Options, but frequently, this is not the problem or solution.
Upgrading to 17.1.0 to 17.2.2 does not solve the issue, nor does exporting the affected project and re-importing, nor unlinking-relinking affected wav files.
The only solution I have found to solve the issue of "disappearing waveforms", is to right click on the wav file in the media pool and select "Replace Selected Clip" and re-select the same clip. This action forces DRS to rebuild the waveform.
A "Refresh Waveform" function would greatly benefit the DRS user community, rather than having to seek a solution to an apparently common problem.
