Sandisk Extreme II?

PostFri Sep 06, 2013 1:55 pm

This thread again,

Anyone out there using the new version of the discontinued Sandisk Extreme without any issues?

I have the misfortune of living in Canada, which means anything I order will take years to ship (we can actually select ''horseback delivery'' here so, you know...)

Anyway, I ordered a few Sandisk Extreme cards that were still available from Amazon.ca. It's been two weeks now and still nothing. Yet this is in Canada, so I was expecting fast delivery. Contacted seller this morning and they gave me an estimated delivery date in October. That's Canada for you.

I'm now thinking about cancelling that order. Should I go with Extreme II... or anything else for that matter?

Thanks for the feedback

Why don't you order from the US if you are in desperate need?

I read problems with the II, so I went with the standard Extreme version.

Ive tried it

You can fit it inside but the ssd is smaller. Perhaps adding something to shim it inside so it wont move around too much. Likely something that can handle the heat

There is a spacer in the box that sticks on the side of the SSD.

But apparently the plastic spacer didn't adjust the size correctly as one person posted.

At least in Canada we can drown our sorrows in the best maple syrup and take out our frustrations slapping hockey pucks at someone. Not so bad, eh?

You might try Digistor approved video SSDs. They are from California but that's usually a quick shipment for a courier if they don't have a sales relationship with someone here.
