PostSun Aug 01, 2021 3:16 pm

Hi
I can use mp4 in da vinci resolve but not in fusion. I have to transcode the clip under DaVinci in .mov.
I have installed Ffmeg but doesn't make any difference..
Can someone tell me what do I do wrong and what schould I do to use .mp4 clip in fusion.

bottom line is you shouldn't really use an mp4. It's a horrible codec, especially for any FX or motion work.

Jeff is correct in a sense, but it still depends on what kind of mp4 you're using.
My Sony semi-pro camera stores its video in mp4 format and I can use it fine within Fusion studio, so there might be something wrong in your setup or the format of the video.

Most of the time, a problem with an mp4 in Fusion is a non-standard resolution. If your video isn't in a common broadcast format, Fusion probably won't read it correctly. This applies only to mp4 and related containers and codecs.
