The new prices are:
DaVinci Resolve $Free.
DaVinci Resolve Studio $295.
DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor $395, an increase of $100.
DaVinci Resolve Editor Keyboard $595, a saving of $400.
DaVinci Resolve Micro Panel $795, a saving of $200.
DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel $1995, a saving of $1000.

Keyboards and panels include $295 Resolve Studio, so save even more!

That just tells me two things:
1. The Speed Editor is selling well, and of course Resolve Studio as well.
2. The Keyboard and Panels are not selling well. I expect to see the Keyboard and Panel prices drop some more in coming moons. I have always thought that the keyboard and micro panels are overpriced. IMHO, they should have been priced $395 and $495 respectively.

The keyboard might not be selling so well, now that the SE was virtually free for a long time.
The panels are worth every cent, they are really well built.
No, an iGPU is not enough, and you can't use HEVC 10 bit 4:2:2 in the free version.

Not saying it is not built well. BMD products are built nicely. Is it worth every cent? To some and you, but not all. That's okay but can still be cheaper that their new discounted price. It is a very specialize and specific tool that only works with Resolve. I expect it to drop a couple hundred more in the coming months, amking it affordable and appealing to more people.

The price cut is a very nice and most welcome gesture from BM!

I wonder if the price reduction is a preemptive action from BM to combat some upcoming competition in the control surface sector.
Perhaps Tangent is planning a move with some cheaper panels or keyboards or Loupedeck have a lift, gamma gain panel about to be released.

That or not a lot of buyers, or could be excess inventory they need to offload.

While there are good savings on the Keyboard and Panels, there is a price increase with the Speed Editor. I'll kick myself for procrastinating buying one. The Speed Editor new price is $395. I became alerted because there are folks who are saying it no longer comes or will be sold at a future date without the DaVinci 17 Studio bundle. WHAT? I checked Adorama and B&H still have some old inventory and when I called them they told me that they're selling them for $295 until their old inventory is depleted. Well, that might be true but not to take another gamble at it, I went ahead and order one. So not sure how long they have it at the old price and with Resolve but thank goodness I got a copy now. ;)

i bought the SE thinking it would kick me into gear to finally switch full time to resolve... it's still in the box haven't used it at all, same with Resolve. Opened it once or twice.

Maybe wasting more money on a keyboard would do it

That might still happen to me.
But wait, since I now have the SE, and if I get the keyboard (see link below) here, I won't be wasting as much as a new BM keyboard but have the functionality it gives (pretty much labels to short keys).

The real problem with all these panels, from my perspective, is they only work with Resolve. Which is a shame since they appear to be very well made. It is also contrary to a hardware model that has worked very successfully for BMD, where Decklinks/Ultastudio etc. work with so many apps that they become almost essential. I considered the SE for a while but it's an awkward fit on my keyboard desk shelf, is limited even within Resolve, and ShuttlePro Express does everything I need across many apps.

Well, the SE is getting more and more features in other pages.
But no third party product other than those from Tachyon will work in the Color page.
No, an iGPU is not enough, and you can't use HEVC 10 bit 4:2:2 in the free version.

I'm not talking about working in Resolve Uli, but for example that they don't work with Avid, either in Symphony or Baselight, particularly in my case - my Ultrastudio and ShuttlePro do. Resolve and Avid are actually the only apps I work in now, professionally but the ratio is still much in favour of Avid, I wish it weren't.

So I turned an editor friend of mine on to DR who switched from Premier. He told me he got the SE with his Studio purchase from B&H. That's awesome, but I've been in the dark regarding this bundle. I bought DR Studio just one year ago. No SE with my purchase.

Is there any discount or upgrade path to the SE for previous Studio owners?
