BM4K Crop factor? will my canon lenses work?

I've read different things about the upcoming BM4K crop factor. I have a bunch of DSLR Canon Lenses and would like to know if they will work okay, crop factor-wise, on this new 4K?

I know there is a lens compatibility list here for the previous cams, and it talks about electrical functionality, but I am wondering about cropping? Will my super wide become normal, and my prime become way zoomed in?

BMPC 4K is 1.7X (full framme 24x36 reference)
aps-c is 1.6X

They will sure work on the BMPC, but how it will feel depends on what camera you use them on. If you're on a full-frame camera like 5DMkII/III, you'll see some difference. If you're on an APS-C camera, like 7D or 60D (I am in this case), there won't be much difference I think.

Perfect. Yes, I'm on a T3i now, so bumping up to 1.7x sounds like no big deal. I was afraid because I read the BMCC and Pocket were like 3x or so with my EF mount lenses. That would WRECK me!

I may have said something confusing.... the T3i is NOT full frame, it's the (smaller) aps-c cropped at 1.6x. So, me moving to the 4k "EF" mount with crop of 1.7x won't be a huge change - won't orphan my lenses.
I'm kind of a newb hobbyist so I don't know no nothings bout no 16mm shooting.

The BMPC (Production Camera) has a 35mm sensor, which means "full frame". Full frame sensors do not crop by definition. Or am I missing something?

I have taken as reference sensor 36 mm wide because that's what the makers of camcorders often compared. People without experience is most familiar.

Oh, I just realized the sensor has "only" a size of 21.12mm x 11.88mm - which is still perfect for me and only just a bit under "full framed"

I'm sure you know that with DSLRs being widely used for video production, like the 5D MkII, the term "full frame" now describes their sensor, which sure is much bigger than the standard 35mm.

But of course you're right, in film "full frame" is 35mm traditionally.
