I’m on a Mac Mini M1, using Resolve Studio 17, hooked to a 4K monitor via HDMI. Audio playback while editing is ALWAYS early by 3 frames (125ms) during playback.
Audio scrubs in perfect sync, but when I play the timeline in Edit/Fairlight or any mode, audio is early. If I play the same clip in Quicktime it’s in perfect sync. If I use a different edit program like Premiere it’s in sync.
I can play audio through the monitor (via hdmi), via internal speaker or USB audio device and it’s the same problem. Audio is in sync, scrubs in sync but plays 3 frames early. I’ve tried every setting/preference/option I can find related to audio/video playback and it makes no difference.
I've toyed with the audio i/o playback processing buffer size with no effect. Under PREFERENCES-USER-FAIRLIGHT there is a Video I/O Offset option.
This seems to be exactly what I need, but again it has no effect regardless of the setting. I've tried multiple resolutions, frame rates and codecs all with the same consistent audio offset/error of 125ms.
How can I manually input an audio delay/offset to correct this--while keeping audio scrubbing as is?
