problem with user manual for Resolve 17

PostFri Jun 24, 2022 9:36 pm

Like the training manual I looked at, it seems to assume that you know things already.
I come to media pool, and I don't see something like I have on my media page, so I think where or what is it. I don't see a menu or label.

This manual does this over and over again. It introduces something and doesn't say where it is. so I am on the Fairlight page, and have the mixer and it says there is, among other things, a hi and low pass filters, exactly what I've been looking for to get rid of wind noise. But it says there is a dynamic strip and by clicking the EQ you can get to it, but where? I'm looking all over.

Click the Mixer button on the upper right, you will then see the Mixer on the right side and you will see the Dynamics panel as well as Effects.

You should also post questions like this in the Resolve forum, you are more likely to get an answer.

I had a mistype in my previous post. I am trying to find the EQ to open the dynamics. I click the misxer and all I get is the little box at the left. If I click the eq button there, it just gives a choice of changing the order of those 3 items.

Based on your screenshot, the Meters panel is at full height. Mouse hover over the separator between the Meters panel and the Transport and click-drag up to change the panel height.

In the Fairlight Mixer click the Additional Options (3 dots) icon and enable the Equaliser and Dynamics modules. Double click the EQ or Dynamics module to open the dedicated windows.

In the Fairlight Mixer notice the EQ section heading to the left.

Double click the EQ module to open the dedicated window.
