Here's the reason why I ask this:
In Resolve 18, you can have a cloud-based project where the colorist could be working on a reel of your movie while the editor is working on another reel of your movie.
The editor wants to look at the footage with a viewing LUT applied to the footage so that everything doesn't look all washed out in log. So, in the Media Pool, a LUT is applied to all of the clips.
The colorist, however, wants to start with the log footage. He might apply the show LUT in a node, but more than likely, he's starting from scratch with the log footage.
From what I can tell, there is no way to disable the LUT applied to clips in the Media Pool.
This is HIGHLY problematic if the intention is to have a seamless collaboration between editor and colorist.
The feature request would be: "Disable/Bypass Media Pool LUTs" button on the Color page so that the editor can still work with the LUT-applied footage, and the colorist can see the footage in log with no LUT applied.
