Sandisk Adata or Samsung

PostSat Oct 12, 2013 7:52 pm

Trying to decide which drives to buy to use with my 3 hyperdeck shuttles as camera iso records. Anyone have an experience with any of these. I know the Sandisk is fairly popular but I keep reading that it's not a great drive.

Sandisk Extreme 240GB (SDSSDX-240G-G25)
ADATA XPG SX900 256GB (ASX900S3-256GM-C)
Samsung - MZ-7TD250BW - 840 Series
Samsung - MZ-7TD500KW - 840 Series

I've heard the Samsung 840 Pro series is a fast performing SSD. The non pro is quite a bit slower if I remember correctly. Samsung also has their 840 EVO series, which I'm not sure how that fits into the mix. Google benchmarks for these SSDs and you'll find speed comparisons.

I have a Samsung 830 256 GB SSD in my Macbook Pro, which I really like.

To clarify I want to use these with my 3 hyperdeck shuttles as camera iso records. The Adata is at a great price point and on Blackmagics list. Sandis is on the list but more expensive and the Samsung is a great price point but only on a list that I found on atemuser.com
