Resolve Studio 17 crashing when rendering

Greetings,

I have a client that is crashing when rendering. Here are some of the errors in the log. This is on an iMac Pro / Mojave. The Mac displays go to sleep. When I look at the status of the Mac on Apple Remote Desktop, it actually shows that it's sleeping. Any help would be appreciated.

OK ... diagnostic log attached. The version is Resolve 17.4.6 build4. The OS is Mac 10.14.6 Mojave.

Steps that crash Resolve:
Render CV X-OCN XT codec clip(s) . After starting the render, the Mac will go to sleep.

Just moved the editor to another user account on the Mac and it did not crash. I then killed the com.davinci~ plist file on the "trouble account" and it's still having the issue. I am just going to keep him on the good account for now.

That was the first thing that I checked.

Not a lot of activity here. I'm going to a re-install of the OS.

For the sake of documentation, I'm posting the solution. I'm always glad that folks take the time to post resolutions in threads. So, the editor informed me that while using another app, Media Composer - I guess, the fans took off and the iMac went to sleep. At that point I realized that this was not a Resolve issue. So I ran an Apple diagnostic and it found no hardware faults. I booted into the recovery partition and re-installed the OS. That was the fix. He's rendered several jobs without issue. Resetting the pram, SMC - didn't resolve it previously. Something in the OS must have been corrupted regarding power management.

Should it ever happen again, check the cooling. An iMac can collect quite a bit of dust over the years.
