h264 corrupt video files ??

PostWed Oct 23, 2013 5:35 pm

I shot football game footage on a Sony cx580 and ran the video through the Blackmagic h264 converter I shot a total of 13 games and about 50 percent of them are not showing a preview snap in my mac they are only showing the "Untitled 23.mp4"
description with the "Q" movie icon and when attempting to view this video from the finder icon is returns with a message of "the movie could not be opened" "the rile is not a movie file."

What options do I have to possible correct these videos ?
I know that there is data there because the files have sizes associate with them, they are not just empty files.

Observations: I filmed ALL of the video following the same procedures throughout the day and most of it turned out just fine and some of it with the aforementioned problem.
I really don't understand what it was that caused this challenge.

Can anyone provide some input ?

Various posts on here with suggestions on how to fix corrupt MP4 files.

Here is a link to one thread.
