So, that kind of worked in that it didn't work at all, but it showed me what was actually happening:
In Audio Devices, I moved the sound input to the webcam. I restarted Resolve, just to be sure, selected the Scarlett as the input and patched the channels—the meters start a-boucin'! However, it's not coming from the Scarlett, it's coming from the webcam. So I've gone back to MIDI, reset that, gone to Resolve, set the input to the webcam and low and behold, it's the Scarlett coming through.
Unplug the webcam, select Scarlett—sure enough it's the Scarlett coming through.
It seems Resolve sees the webcam as the Scarlett whenever it's plugged in! No idea what that's about, but it does now appear to be solved(?)!
Thanks for the help nudging me in the right direction, much appreciated. I think I'll just leave my webcam unplugged from now on.
