Drag & Drop on stacked timelines not working

PostWed Feb 01, 2023 9:27 pm

It's should work by default, but it is not on DR18.1.2, even on a new install. Neither Windows or Mac.
Is there a setting I should activate? A key to press while dragging and droping?

I stacked the timelines as the manual suggests, on top, the timeline with the clips I want to drag to the bottom timeline, I drag the clip from the top timeline, but nothing happens when I let go on any video track on the bottom timeline.

Any video on the internet shows that it shouldn't be a big deal.I never tried it before, so I cannot tell if earlier versions worked.

What am I doing wrong? What setting has been deactivated on the new version?

I appreciate any help.

I can't make it fail. Everything I try just works, even different frame rates.

Studio 18.1.2 on Windows 10.

Seems to work for me too. Would you do a screen recording and show us in action?

Perhaps the track selection red bounding box or auto-select buttons? I'm not at my computer so just guessing.

Tested those. Doesn't matter.

Thank you, everyone. What a nice experience on this forum.

This is happening on a Cloud Collaboration Project.

I just tried on any local project, and it works!

It looks like the feature is not available in BM Cloud projects (even when none of the collaborators are online)
