Recording from Atem Mini Pro

We have a Mini Pro Iso. We record to a hard drive plugged into the Atem switcher. We had been using an 8 TB hard drive and it was working fine.......until one day the hard drive crashed. It's not all that old......maybe 4 to 6 months. Ok, so maybe we just got a bad hard drive. Or maybe it was damaged from unplugging it from an Atem switcher that has no power switch nor ability to soft-disconnect the hard drive.

My questions:
1. Is there a way to record to a PC instead of an external drive?
2. Is there a way to minimize the powering down / disconnecting a hard drive from the Atem Mini?
3. Has anyone else had a similar problem?
4. Are there any other solutions to recording offline where we wouldn't lose a day's recording sessions to a hard drive crash?

We've had some issues here and there with different drives but nothing compared to that.
We then started using the recommended and tested drives Blackmagic suggests and we no longer had those issues.

You can record the USB-C feed using OBS Studio or similar.

Yes use USB to PC cable and OBS .. OR ..

I preffer disk reccorder .. Hyperdeck MINI , or if U in HDMI world , then maybe Hyperdeck Shuttle is your friend ..
