UltraStudio Mini Recorder and Macbook Pro

PostWed Sep 11, 2019 3:10 pm

Hi All,

I'm considering purchasing a Mini Recorder ( Model BDLKULSDZMINREC ) to live stream my Canon 80D. I'm using an Early 2011 Macbook Pro with Thunderbolt. Does anyone have any experience with this?

TIA - Vijay

Make sure that you check the system requirements of whatever software you're planning on using with the older MacBook Pro to do your live streaming. The software will dictate the processor / ram / hard drive performance needed to stream at the bit rate and resolution that you're interested in. My guess is that there is a good chance that an 8 year old MacBook Pro will be a little underpowered for most current live streaming applications, but I could be wrong...
