Davinci studio timeline speed

PostTue Jun 25, 2019 8:20 pm

Hello.
...
Is there a difference in speed when using the studio version, in the timeline only?
...
I'm thinking about buying the payed Resolve if so.
...
Thanks in advance.

The studio version permits timeline frame rates above 60fps but I feel u mean something else, just not sure what.

If you are talking about scrubbing and playback in the timeline then in my experience yes there is a considerable speed difference between free and studio. I'm using Sony XAVC files and everything is much much faster after buying studio.

Yes, it's all about scrubbing and playback!

I hope Studio has a better performance. I've bought a 580 8GB in a good price just for DaVinci. The free version is a fantastic piece of software. I've cancelled my Adobe subscription this month and dive in BlackMagic's black magic.

AMD is one step behind NVidia's Cards, but I'm hoping my system can do a nice job.
...
Thanks.
