No, you don't have to press anything, but if you don't see it, it's because something on your timeline is directly-selected. In other words, if any clip on your timeline has an orange outline, you won't see the highlighting.
Ahh, don't make sense - why is highlight (orange outline of any clip) a problem to have in/out hightlight the timeline?
I just tried to uncheck "selections follows playhead" and then there is no problems. I would say it is a BUG, since this should be the SAME with or without "selections follows playhead".
I had to look up - what it does...
Using Selection Follows Playhead: When you turn on “Selection Follows Playhead” so
that all clips intersecting the position of the playhead are automatically selected, clips
on tracks with Auto Select disabled will not be selected.
and that is what I am saying that is is NOT working. since it DOESN'T select ALL tracks clips that is intersection with.
Because this in/out is the SAME solution to how to edit. ONE is 100% NOT doing as in the manual, and the other is still with bugs, if you have the "selection follows playhead" since it should overrule and make the in/out regardless of the situation.
but Thanks... this is the dialog I am looking for, because you help me find the bugs.
