Hello, I need help, how can I know what the license number is, I lost the card where I had the registration and I need to uninstall davinci resolve because I have to change the hard disk
You could try "cloning" the old hard drive to the new one. Other than that, you would need to purchase a new license. But on the bright side, you would get a new Speed Editor keyboard included (for a limited time).
DR Studio 19.1.4 GTX 1070 8GB VRAM Windows 10 Home 64-bit 16GB Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s)
If someone has lost the card, Black Magic Design should have a record of it. To expect a user to have to pay another $299 is ridiculous. Poor way to treat customers.
Thanks to this thread and a near misplacement of my card (found it in the Speed Editor Box) - I learned a lesson. I immediately scanned the card and put it on any file server with all Blackmagic files/etc and also made printed versions to have with my video equipment boxes so I did not have to sweat bullets again.
"They would have to sell them directly to end users for that. But...they don't. So...they can't." Does the serial number originate from Black Magic Design?
It does. But it seems bit of s stretch to believe the retailers are reporting the identity of buyers to BMD. And in the case of a cash purchase, they'd have nothing to report anyway.
What you want here, Mike, just isn't reasonable.
My Biases:
You NEED training. You NEED a desktop. You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
I first purchased Adobe Premiere in 1991. I was always able to contact Adobe and get my serial number if necessary without having to purchase the program again. End of topic.
