Don't do that. Change your strategy and accept that the Resolve database works the way it does for a reason. resolve is not Premiere and it's not like other programs that routinely save the session file as a separate thing in a specific place.
What you
can do is to export a daily backup of the project (a DRP file) to a folder on your source drive, and that's what we do every day. We don't have to use them often, but one in a blue moon, it happens.
Read Chapter 3, "Managing Projects and Project Libraries," starting on p. 65 of the 18.1 user manual. It goes into the Resolve database in great detail. And if you haven't already, consider going through the free Editing Tutorials on Blackmagic's training website:
