I'm not sure what may have happened to the GPU driver. I updated it to the latest version just prior to installing DR.
What I did find is that if I put a node in front of the node where Chromatic Adaptation is added, and lowered the highlights down a bit, the black boxes disappeared. It's as if the Chromatic Adaptation feature behaves nasty when white clip levels are reached. I also found that I could recover blown highlights in S-log3 footage by placing a node first in line and lowering the gain and highlight levels. But that Chromatic Adaptation feature has some nasty artifacts when it doesn't like the white levels.
As for the sluggish XAVC footage, I discovered that somehow the Depth map and camera blur features were enabled. I guess the project got saved with those enabled and when I turned off Depth Map, the playback returned to normal.
I think I have these two issues figured out. Of course, I'll check to see if nVidia has a newer driver. Gawd, I wish the motherboard supported an RTX card, but sadly, it's not on the compatibility list, so I'm stuck with 1080Ti, which is adequate for most everything but AI functions.
