Hey all,
So I've looked all over, including in these message boards, for an answer to this question—I'm stumped!
I have a bunch of interview footage that we shot with the Sony PXW-FS7M2. Because the interviews were above a certain length, the camera split the interviews into multiple clips. We recorded dummy audio on the camera in order to aid in syncing and the boom audio was recorded as single, long files, one for each interview.
We did clap each interviews, so it's literally possible for me to sync with them with the markers, but there are 35 interviews and everything is theoretically there for me to sync them automatically.
HOWEVER: the only way I can see in Resolve to merge the multiple clips for a single interview is to create a "compound clip." And from what I can tell, it is not possible to auto-sync an audio track and a "compound clip" made up of multiple end-to-to end video files.
So: how do I sync these bad boys!
Thanks very much in advance for any help you might be able to provide.
Best,
Thomas
