can you verify that eyeonscript.exe and eyeonserver.exe are running in the task manager when you start fusion. Also, try first turning off all firewall/virus protection to make sure it's not a permission issue. We've found that some anti-virus applications like AVG will treat fusion like a virus.

Let me know if that works out

Hi

Still no.
I found eyeonQTServer.exe*32 and eyeonScript.ext was running when i tried to open Fusion 7.7. It opens up and crashes immediately.

I have Windows7 64-bit Home Premium, nVidia GTX 660M, 8GB Ram.

Specs are great, should work work with those stats.

Have you tried turning firewall and anti-virus off?

I had same problem on W8.1 a few days ago, except when i launched Fusion, it did not crash but it froze on the initialization screen and Fusion window stopped responding. Even after half an hour, it would still remain frozen, and would not start.

For me, wiping C:\ProgramData\Blackmagic Design\Fusion folder solved the problem, although i had to re-configure the software from sratch.

My specs are following:

Windows 8.1
Core i7 5930k
15GB RAM
GeForce GTX 970
Fusion installed on 120GB SSD drive.

Yes, however, please do it through our support web links so that it can get logged in to the system.
They have the door to pass on the crash log.

Hopefully we'll find something in there that will help get you going. Mention me in email to support so i get flagged and i'll follow through on it from there

Hi Rony,

I wrote an email to support team, they needed my system configuration. But didn't ask for any log file, its been 3 days already and waiting for them to reply.

Please make Fusion work on my system.

Is this Fusion the free version or Studio?

Make sure you have the latest Nvidia drivers.
When you install, RMB and choose install as Administrator.
When OS warns you to block Fusion, make sure you Allow,
Under Firewall, make sure the eyeonscript.exe and eyeonserver.exe are in the allow list.

Fusion 7.7 free.
I have installed the latest Nvidia driver. still doesn't work.
then I find out that it runs well on Intel GPU instead of Nvidia.
strange, but it works.

Hi,

This is Fusion 7.7 free version.

I have installed the latest driver for my nVidia graphics card which is Version no: 352.86 which was released on 5/18/2015.

At the time of installation i didn't block it. Under firewall i added exception not to block eyeonscript.exe and eyeonserver.exe. But when i start Fusion and look at Task Manager i am able to see eyeonscript.exe and eyeonQTServer.exe and not eyeonserver.exe. After a while Fusion.exe shows up and then closes immediately.

Is there any way that i could send you some sort of log file, may be you can get a clue. If there is a way, please let me know where is log file situated on my PC.

Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi Murali,
Go to Nvidia control panel, Manage 3D setting, and choose program setting tab. there, you can specify what GPU to use when running an application.
Hope this helps

Jo

Hi,

Thanks a lot Johanes for your clue, i tried disabling my nVidia graphics display adapter from "Device Manager" and it started working. Strangely it works only on Intel 4000 HD Display adapter.

I am able to run Fusion 7.7 on my laptop.

Thanks a lot. Thanks blackmagic for ur support.
